Ottawa Harlequins

The Ottawa Harlequins entered the Rugby Canada Super League in 1999.  The Harlequins compete in the RCSL Eastern Division against teams from, New Brunswick, Montreal, Niagara, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.  In 2006 and 2007 the Harlequins had a 3-3 record.  This year the U-20 team is an official part of the RCSL, playing Quebec and Niagara.

In 2008, the Ottawa Harlequins play five regular season games with two at Twin Elm Rugby Park:

  • Saturday May 17 vs Quebec Caribou at Twin Elm Rugby Park, Ottawa  Quebec 30 Ottawa 19
  • Friday May 30 vs Newfoundland Rock at Twin Elm Rugby Park, Ottawa
  • Sunday June 15 vs Niagara Thunder at Mohawk Sports Park, Hamilton
  • Saturday June 28 vs New Brunswick Black Spruce at Loyalists Fields, Frederiction
  • Monday June 30 vs Nova Scotia Keltics in Halifax

Tickets are $10 at the gate or $15 for 2-game ticket pack valid for both games.  Tickets can be used for both home games for one person or used for two people at either game.  Tickets for junior and minor rugby players wearing identifiable club jersey or T-shirt are $5.00 and may also purchase tickets for accompanying parents at $5.00 each.

Training:

Players interested in trying out for the senior or U-20 squads are invited to contact the coaches at the training sessions listed below.  Club coaches are also requested to recommend potential players to the coaching staff.

Senior Harlequins are now training at Confederation High School Monday and Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.

U-20 Harlequins are training at Confederation High School on Sundays at 6:00 p.m.
